Lilian Bourgeat reproduces objects that she distorts through enlarging them : boots, light bulbs and wine glasses as well as giant tables and chairs that bring us into a universe where we become lilliputians.

The artist establishes a scale game that changes the original function of an object while giving it a new status. The object of our everyday life, so much a part of our regular use that we do not see it anymore, seems suddenly odd, at times grotesque and above all evasive !
